General Labor - Maintenance Department

about this position

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our Maintenance Department as a General Laborer. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with general maintenance tasks such as painting, cleaning, and repairing equipment
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues and report them to the appropriate personnel
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment for various events or projects
• Support the maintenance team in conducting repairs and troubleshooting mechanical or electrical systems
• Help maintain a clean and organized work environment by ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored
• Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements to be considered for this position:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Qualifications

1. We are looking for a self-motivated and detail oriented person for a physically demanding job
2. Knowledge of welding and fabrication, pump repair, and a general knowledge of the industrial gas business is helpful, but not required.
3. Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance
4. Must be able to operate a for truck
5. Must be good with their hands
6. Must have a current & valid Michigan Drivers License
7. Must have excellent organization and time management skills
